Lucid ("we", "our", or "the App") is an iOS photo editing app. We design the App to process photos locally on your device.
Lucid does not collect biometric identifiers, faceprints, facial recognition profiles, or identity records. When you use portrait editing features, Apple Vision and on-device machine-learning models may temporarily analyze a photo to derive face rectangles, facial landmarks, or person masks.
Face-related processing results are used only to perform the feature you requested, such as preserving facial regions during skin smoothing, determining a portrait focus point, or separating a person from the background. Face rectangles, landmarks, and temporary masks are kept in memory only during processing and are discarded when processing ends.
Lucid does not upload face data, facial landmarks, person masks, photos, or edited image content to our servers, Firebase, Google, any AI provider, or any other third party.
Photos selected by you are processed on your device. The App may request access to selected photos so you can import an image for editing and may request permission to save edited results to your photo library.
Photos, edited results, and optional editable-project assets may be stored only in the App's private on-device library so that you can reopen or edit your work. Some projects may include locally stored depth or portrait matte assets needed for editing. This content remains on your device until you delete the project in the App or uninstall the App. Lucid does not operate a cloud photo storage service.
Lucid does not send photos, face data, facial landmarks, person masks, or other image content to any third-party AI service for processing. AI and image-processing models run locally on the device.
The App may download model files when you explicitly choose to install an optional model. This download does not upload your photos, face data, or image content.
We use Firebase Analytics, provided by Google, for anonymous app usage and reliability analytics, such as feature usage, processing completion, processing duration, save success, save failure, and error categories. Firebase does not receive photos, edited image content, face data, facial landmarks, person masks, or biometric information from Lucid.
Analytics events are not used to identify you personally and are not used to track you across apps or websites owned by other companies.
We do not require you to create an account, and we do not collect your name, email address, contacts, precise location, or payment information through the App.
The App does not show third-party ads and does not use your data to track you across apps or websites owned by other companies.
The App is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
We may update this Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated revision date.
